Hincapie Women’s Arenberg Bib Tight Review

FROM THE MANUFACTURER
The Hincapie Women’s Arenberg Bib Tight has an unique back closure buckle and is an ergonomically designed bib top that allows for easy restroom access without removing top layers. Plush, elastic SuperRoubaix fleece back fabric throughout provides excellent insulation and breathability Women’s specific elastic Hincapie Power chamois moves with the rider Soft, Hincapie Gel-Grip Elastic leg openings with auto-locking, reflective zippers that won’t migrate or rattle Reflective piping and trims front and back for improved low light visibility

INITIAL THOUGHTS
The inside fleece lining is cozy and easy to slip into.  The over the head straps looks a little funky but is comfortable and
allows for the drop bottom design.

LOOK
The chamois is a little more visible than what I’d prefer, but the seams and reflective decals are well placed.  Tall girls might
run into a fit that is not snug (see below).

FEEL
I have a 32.5” inseam and ordered the L size; the bibs are still not long enough while fitting a loosely and bulkly around the hips/belly.  The chamois feels a bit large when standing and walking, but rides pretty comfortably.  While these are certainly not windproof, I wore these on a VERY windy morning where the weather was well below freezing and was only chilly on the beginning of the ride.   I think the ideal temp for these would be 30-45 degrees F.

ECONOMIC IMPACT
The Hincapie bibs are obviously well constructed and made of good material.  With a better fit, they would be well worth the price.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The Arenberg bib tights boast a good chamois and quality material, but the fit leaves something to be desired.

RATING
ELITE
