Description

Hincapie Merino Arm Warmers

Merino wool, named after New Zealand's famous, specially-bred Merino sheep, is known around the world for its incredibly fine fibers that are used to create super-soft, itch-free products that keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Each fiber contains thousands of tiny little pockets that trap air to insulate you against the elements. These porous fibers also wick moisture away from the skin to help regulate temperatures more naturally. Our special 200-needle, seamless construction produces a higher thread count resulting in one of the warmest and most comfortable wool arm warmers in the peloton. With an attractive Hincapie logo knit right into the wool, these warmers are sure to be the style hit of your next ride.

Fit Guide

Fit Guide

Getting you the correct size and fit is our number one priority and we have spent a lot time trying to help with this.  Please take a few minutes to understand fit and sizing below.

How to get the right fit:

  • 1.       Measure your chest size
  • 2.       Determine if we classified it as having a sport, pro, or race fit, located in the description.
  • 3.       Look at manufactures sizing chart -Giordana, Castelli/Sportful, Hincapie
  • 4.       Find your chest size
  • 5.       Use sizing chart and our Sport, Pro, Race fit guidelines to determine the size that will fit you the way you want it to.

Example: If you have a 40 inch chest and you want to find the fit for a jersey that we have classified as race fit, Giordana’s sizing chart will recommend buying a large jersey. By ordering that large jersey, you will receive an extremely tight Jersey. You can see how a typical Race Fit jersey fits in the picture below right.  This is because the jersey is intended for a rider that is comfortable in a form fitting jersey and wants his jersey to fit like a pros. If you are interested in a race fit jersey, but enjoy your jerseys to be a little looser, order a larger size. This will ensure you receive a jersey that fits the way you want it to.

Please note that the model in the picture below has a 39 inch chest.  He is wearing three different size cuts from the SAME manufacturer, all in size large.  These pictures illustrate how important it is to understand the intended fit.  If you simply went out and bought a large jersey with out paying attention to the fit you could end up with a Sport Fit, whicht will fit like a loose T Shirt, as opposed to the Race Fit that you wanted.

What’s a Sport Fit?

Fit Guide Sport Fit

If you can picture your favorite oversized t-shirt, you’re well on your way to knowing what a Club fit is going to look like on you.  Loose-fitting and relaxed, a jersey marked with a Club stamp is targeted for easy rides around town in a style that’s going to give you more than enough room to move around.  We've got them all marked for you with our fit stamps, but it might help to know that Giordana calls these jerseys "Super Fit" and Hincapie calls them "Club Cut".  You should see these names listed in the product's description

What’s a Pro Fit?

Fit Guide Pro Fit

More fitted to the body than the Sport fit, and begins to offer performance features of a race fit jersey, but still offers room to breathe.  In this category, even a Pro Fit will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, it's very important to take your measurements and reference each company's specific sizing charts.  For instance, what Giordana calls a "Sport" jersey would be on the looser end of what we consider a Pro Fit to be. A Giordana "Euro" jersey would be on the tighter end of the Pro Fit spectrum.  And as for Castelli, we reccommend that you order a full size larger on all of their products, regardless of their fit stamp.

What’s a Race Fit?

Fit Guide Race Fit

If you are considering a jersey with a Race Fit, you are shopping for some serious cycling gear. Jerseys with this cut are very form fitting in order to offer you the benefit of aerodynamic riding. They are the tightest of the three cuts available, and therefore most people who buy this cut wind up buying sometimes even several sizes larger than they would in a different cut.
